2021 Color of the YearTap into nature with a hue whose warmth and comfort breathe down-to-earth tranquility. Our 2021 Color of the Year, Urbane Bronze, captures that simple sophistication every space is searching for.

Find Your SanctuaryNow more than ever, our homes have become the backdrop to our lives, reminding us that the moments worth cherishing have always been right in front of us. As we're looking to create the ultimate retreat for reflection and renewal, we're turning to a hue whose natural simplicity and nature-inspired energy cultivate a sense of calm from the ground up.

Rooted in NatureThe trend for biophilia continues to shape our spaces, proving that nature is never far away. Urbane Bronze might be a color rooted in nature, but it also has a unique ability to ground a room through organic appeal. Whether it's accentuating window trims or accent walls, this warm hue draws from nature for a feeling of relaxation and serenity. It also works well with other biophilic elements including, light-filled spaces and foliage.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As we reflect on 2020, we have all been affected by the global pandemic. Changes brought about new ways of doing business and we thank all of our clients and vendors for adapting quickly as we navigated ways to assist in the home buying and selling process with enhanced safety precautions.  Despite the challenges, we are encouraged by the positive real estate sales market and record low interest rates giving buyers more purchasing power than ever before.
A New Year is like a blank book, and the pen is in your hands. It is your chance to write a beautiful story for yourself.  Wishing you a healthy and prosperous 2021!

Changes in Homeownership

A multigenerational household is typically made up of aging parents, their adult children, and their teenage or young grandchildren. This setup has seen a steady rise in recent years, with over 64 million Americans living and sharing a multigenerational household, according to a 2018 Pew Research Center analysis of census data. It's a large-scale change that continues to alter the way people buy and build homes. There are many factors that can help explain the rise of multigenerational living. 12 percent of home buyers purchased a multi-generational home to take care of aging parents, because of children over the age of 18 moving back home, and for cost-saving.

Likewise, experts cited the growing immigrant population, economic, and cultural factors that are fueling this trend. The Asian and Hispanic populations are growing steadily, and they are more likely than whites to live in a multigenerational household, according to the Pew Research Center report. Skyrocketing rents and home prices, especially in some cities, are also affecting a growing number of people. Many of them decide to move back to their homes, especially those who are struggling to get good-paying jobs or still paying off student debt. Likewise, adult children offer their home to their aged parents as a convenient and cost-effective option. Continued....
